Judy Zawacki: After years of classes in a variety art forms such as drawing, acrylics, watercolour, pastels, and felting, Judy Zawacki discovered silversmithing. Her passion has kept her working in the jewellery studio at the Neil Balkwill Arts Centre, as well as from her home studio. She credits the expertise and encouragement of her instructors, Megan Hazel and Melody Armstrong with enabling her to increase her technical skills and enjoyment. "Jewellery is much more satisfying to me than other mediums. I especially enjoy the design process. I am drawn to clean, simple shapes with a twist. I just love making jewellery!"
